One of the words parents use most to describe the Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic School community is "family." We are proud to bring that same close-knit family feel to every aspect of the student experience, from large events to the mentoring relationships fostered between our older and younger students.
CHOIR
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome to develop their gifts and talents through the choir program. Choir members share their musical gifts at school Masses and special events.
STUDENT COUNCIL
The OLLH Student Council gives students in grades 5 through 8 the opportunity to develop leadership skills through service and community involvement. The Student Council assists with organizing service projects, spiritual enrichment and school activities that contribute to school spirit and community welfare.
BAND
Older students at OLLH are invited to participate in band through a partnership with Harbor Beach Public School.
ATHLETICS
Our Lady of Lake Huron has a basketball team, and students are also invited to participate in a variety of athletics through a partnership with Harbor Beach Public School.
For decades, Our Lady of Lake Huron has produced a unique Christmas play, written by Pat Murdock. Each and every student participates in this performance telling of the birth of our Savior.
Each year, students also bring the Passion of Our Lord to life. This helps the children learn about Jesus' sacrifice.

Older students are paired with younger students to be their friends and role models. Older students learn responsibility and leadership as they help guide the younger students through school Masses and other activities. All grades frequently gather for activities, morning Prayer and Pledge and school-wide projects.
Students are encouraged to share their gifts and talents with our school community during the annual OLLH Talent Show. Our students also participate in numerous activities throughout the year, including Project RED, Catholic Schools Week, Reading Month, field trips, Track and Field Day, Grandparents' Day and Mardi Gras.
At OLLH, students know they may be at a small school, but they are part of something big— the OLLH Trojan family!
